Experience is about ten-year-long architecture research. It’s the sum of ideas and concepts developed in different ways and at various levels. It’s a moment to rethink the concept of urban structure, public space, living, and the relational value of architecture. It is a collection of projects that investigate the concept of ecology and of sustainability in their broader sense and comprising nature, architecture, and humanity.
The projects are exhibited in two different ways: while some of them are framed like old paintings filling a wall in a classical museum, some others are represented by models enclosed by transparent domes of various sizes, creating a landscape of the climate crisis.
Experience is also a pause, it is a moment inside of the Architecture Biennale to radically rethink the concept of exhibiting. It offers the opportunity to imagine the museum as a public space, a place to learn but even to rest and socialize.
A big white object, a monolithic stairway, a monument to public space, works as a seat and offers the visitor the opportunity to stop, to relax, and to watch the exhibition from a more intimate point of view.
